2022

Kalinchowk

With the lifting of lockdowns and restrictions in Nepal in March 2022 we have been able to get on with work here. Work on the foundations for the school fence started in March and were completed in April, quickly followed by the installation of the fence and a school gate, which were completed in July. We have been raising money to upgrade the class rooms and the compound and work started in August on the first phase.

All the classrooms are having ceilings and insulation, electricity for lights installed and windows fitted. The ceilings were completed in September and the remaining work is due to be completed in October.

We still need to raise the final amount to finish the school compound. The plans are to plant fruit trees, create a vegetable garden to grow fresh produce for the school kitchen, install playground equipment and make an outdoor classroom. Work will start on this as soon as we have secured the funds.
